ARC-R DUAL / DUAL-ROBOT SYSTEM
ARC-R Dual
Two W7 Robots, One Coordinated System
Work independently or as one system: split the work, weld in parallel or hand off a part.
OVERVIEW
Two Robots Change the Strategy
One robot welds while the other positions for the next operation. Divide the work by geometry, process, station or cycle.
FOR HIGHER-VOLUME STRUCTURAL PRODUCTION

ARCHITECTURE
Two W7 Robots, One Controller
Each W7 has seven robot axes, fourteen combined. Control X manages the shared work zone.

W7 Robot A
Welds, handles or inspects.

W7 Robot B
Works in parallel or in sequence.

External Motion
Linear, vertical and positioner axes per configuration.

Shared-Zone Control
Control X keeps both robots coordinated and clear.

Mission Control
Orchestrates the work across both robots.
PROCESSES
Two Robots, More Ways to Divide the Work
Run both robots on one process, or let each take a different step.

Parallel Welding
Both robots weld different seams at the same time.
WORKFLOW
Two Robots, One Production Record
- 01
Import
Bring the assembly into Catfish Studio.
- 02
Divide
Mission Control splits the work by geometry, process, station or cycle.
- 03
Sense
3D vision and laser seam finding locate the real joints.
- 04
Weld
Both robots work in parallel or hand off parts.
- 05
Record
Proof stores a record for every weld.
FUNCTIONS
Two Robots, One Weld List
Parallel Welding
Both robots weld different seams of the same assembly at the same time.
Robot Handoff
One robot positions or holds a part while the other welds it.
Weld-List Splitting
Mission Control divides the weld list between robots by reach, sequence and WPS.
Collision-Aware Shared Workspace
Control X plans both arms in one model so they never contest the same space.
Independent Mode
Each robot runs its own station and job when the work does not need coordination.
Multi-Station Operation
Load one station while both robots weld at another.
Distortion-Aware Sequencing
Balanced weld sequences across two robots help manage heat input on long parts.
