Products
No. Catfish builds complete manufacturing systems that combine robotics, external motion, sensing, software and production data.
W7
W7 is Catfish Vanguard's own seven-axis industrial robot, the hardware foundation of every ARC system. Detailed robot figures are provided during engineering review and confirmed per installation.
A seventh axis adds kinematic redundancy, giving the robot more ways to reach complex geometry while holding the required tool pose.
ARC Systems
ARC-R is a single-robot production cell using one 7-axis W7 with configurable external motion, fixturing, sensing and Catfish OS.
ARC-R Dual uses two W7 robots plus external axes for longer parts, parallel welding and higher-throughput structural work.
Catfish OS
Catfish OS is the shared software layer for engineering, motion coordination, welding, production orchestration, monitoring, digital state and manufacturing evidence.
No. High-level planning is separated from deterministic real-time motion control, and safety functions stay in an independent industrial safety layer.
No. Catfish Weld works within approved procedures and process limits supplied or authorized by the manufacturer.
Catfish Connect is designed to interface with supported equipment and plant systems such as CAD/PLM, MES/ERP and QMS. Each interface is confirmed for the specific site.
The manufacturer. Catfish OS is designed for on-premise deployment first, and data handling is set out in the applicable agreement.
Safety
Each cell uses an installation-specific industrial safety architecture: guarding, safeguarding devices, an emergency stop chain and an independent safety controller, defined through a risk assessment for that site.
Catfish does not claim product certifications. Each installation receives an installation-specific industrial safety architecture and a site risk assessment performed with the customer and qualified integrators or inspectors at installation.
The risk assessment is completed for the specific installation with the manufacturer and qualified parties before production use.
Pilots & Pricing
Catfish builds and tests its systems at its operating Rio Vista lab. Contact us about design-partner, pilot or evaluation opportunities.
Start with a specific work package: part family, process, volume, fixture method, current constraint and desired outcome. A weld-family study then shows whether a configuration fits.
Pricing depends on configuration and project scope. Contact our team to discuss a specific work package.
There is no general delivery date. Timing is discussed per project, based on project scope and evaluation status.
Only non-sensitive files. Do not submit export-controlled, ITAR-controlled, classified or highly confidential information without an approved secure exchange method.
Company
Catfish Vanguard builds robotic manufacturing systems and software for large, structurally complex industrial work, beginning with structural welding.
Shipbuilding, ship repair, marine and workboat manufacturing, structural steel and related heavy fabrication.
Catfish Vanguard’s operating development and demonstration lab and principal office is at 100 Marina Dr, Rio Vista, CA 94571, on the Sacramento River delta waterfront. We build robots and software, validate weld processes on your parts, and host scheduled demonstrations. Visits by appointment; schedule a lab visit through Contact.
